EmmaRae had been having a little but of rice cereal in her formula for about a month (not only did it make it more filling so she could continue to sleep through the night, but it helped her acid reflux), but she was starting to need something with a little more substance to keep her full again. So, we tried some vegetables. Her first ones were green beans. She since then has tried peas, sweet potatoes, turkey with rice and squash. She tolerates peas, likes sweet potatoes and turkey with rice and squash. However the squash does not agree with her! We gave it to her three times, three different ways (more, less, with something else, etc.) and she screamed for at least an hour after each feeding- needless to say we tables squash until later :) Her favorites, by far, are green beans. Every time we give them to her she says "mmmm....mmmm....mmmmm" It is really cute.
