EmmaRae Brianne Siemssen joined our family June 1, 2008 at 10:21 am after only 9 hours of labor. She aspirated some fluid when she was born so, a respiratory team assisted her, in her first few minutes of life. Afterwards, she was taken to the NICU. They tried letting her breathe on her own, but ended up having her on oxygen the majority of the time she stayed in the hospital; until she was 4 days old.
